GETTING YOUR QUILT READY TO LONGARM

The backing needs to be 8" larger than quilt all the way around. That means 8" longer than the quilt and 8" wider. For example, if you have a quilt top that is 60" x 80", your backing should measure at least 68" x 88". It can be bigger than that but not smaller. Otherwise my machine head will catch on the tension clamps and it messes up the stitches (we don't want that). If you have questions, please ask.

If your quilt is directional, mark the top with a safety pin and let me know in the notes. Same goes for backing.
