ABOUT

My name is Cathy Minear and I have been a quilter for over 25 years. I started out making reproduction antique quilts and moved into contemporary quilts, "liberated" quilts (shout out to Gwen Marston), and modern quilts. I love them all. Back then I quickly realized that quilting my quilts on my domestic sewing machine was a) not fun and b) was not doing my quilt tops any favors. I was spending lots of time and energy using beautiful fabric to create beautiful tops and my domestic machine quilting was not worthy of the work I wanted to do. So I started renting time on longarm machines and now, here I am with my own longarm.  And after all these years, it's still magic to watch a top turn into a quilt. Every time.
